A look back at the story of creation

hard times

I don't exist yet, but the world needs me badly. My creators love skateboarding, but there's one thing they hate: the threads on the trucks always get stripped, and eventually you can barely get the nut off to remove the wheel. At some point, re-tapping the threads doesn't help either, so the whole truck ends up in the trash.

born in the skatepark

My creators, Fide and Max, have often talked about a solution to this problem. They knew that some skaters stack multiple washers between the axle and the wheel instead of just one. This pushes the nut outward, protecting the threads. It's a nice idea, but all those washers are a huge pain. Plus, the width never fits perfectly for different axle manufacturers.

One day, Fide said they really just needed to produce washers of the right width. Finally, I was born — all that was left was to bring me into the world!

prototyping

Since Max runs a manufacturing shop, it didn't take long for him to make a prototype of me on his machines. Fide received the first versions and assembled them onto his truck. It worked charming!

magic

By now, I'm the star of the washers. No other washer works as well as I do. Skaters love to mount me on their trucks because it's as simple and affordable as it gets. I fit trucks from all manufacturers and last forever. Thanks to me, the nut takes less of a beating, and you can ride your truck for a long time without the threads stripping. Some people even say that I help them with grinds because I max out the width between your wheels!

PS: Your truck needs me :)
