Born in the skatepark
4wash started as a personal frustration. Stock steel washers rust, seize up, and add unnecessary weight to a setup. Founder Jan began machining his own aluminium washers in a garage workshop in Rotterdam.
First batch
The first run of 50 washers was handed out at local sessions. The feedback was instant — lighter feel, no corrosion, better bushing seat. Word spread quickly through the local scene.
Going small-batch
After requests from skaters across Europe, 4wash moved to a small CNC shop and launched three colourways: black anodised, raw silver, and matte white. Every washer is hand-finished and inspected before shipping.
Online
The webshop launched, making 4wash washers available worldwide. Orders ship from Rotterdam in small, recycled-paper packets.
Still small, still good
4wash remains a one-person operation. Every batch is made to order. No warehouses, no investors, no compromises on material quality.
